Mondays with Marcus #MondaysWithMarcus

Hagerstown, MD

Personal blog alert!

One of the best things I love about raising my 5-year-old son Marcus is that we get to spend lots of time together.  In a world gone crazy, It is one of the best gifts that Shonoi and I can give him. Some of my most fond memories of my father and I were with him driving me to and from school. These were when we had conversations about life. I believe that those interactions help make me into the man I am today.  Fast forward 30+ years and I'm raising my son in what feels like a whole different world. The years of innocents are so short! The mind so delicate and fragile! What a high calling! The calling to step up to the challenge of raising, training, educating your child to be successful in this life and the life to come.  We understand that homeschooling is not for every parent. Frankly, some people are not equipped to take on such a task, they may need a break outside of the house, and others may not be in a position to financially pull it off. The reasons are endless. Thanks be to GOD that Shonoi and I are able to stagger our work schedules to make this happen.  On Mondays I homeschool Marcus. I hope to share more about our interactions on Instagram using the hashtag #MondaysWithMarcus

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. KJV — Deuteronomy 6:7
