Johns Hopkins Hospital Cardiology Pioneer Died at 70 years old.

This post is a little different than the usual, but I think that this pioneer deserves a little shout out on my end!  One of the blessings of being a photographer is that I get to work with amazing individuals such as Dr. Levi Watkins. A couple years ago I was commissioned by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education to photograph this pioneer in cardiovascular surgery. I am saddened to hear of his passing last Friday. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family friends and colleagues. He will be sorely missed. To read more about Dr. Watkins check out the Baltimore Sun article.

I would like to leave you with words of Jesus: "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted" Matthew 5:4.
